· The concept for PATE originated from understanding the pain points associated with manual bill splitting. · Began with in-depth research into user challenges and existing solutions, which revealed that many users were frustrated by the manual calculations and time-consuming processes involved in dividing bills. · Addressing these issues, I designed PATE to integrate AI-driven recognition software that eliminates manual data entry. · The approach was informed by user feedback and a review of competitor products, highlighting the need for a more intuitive and automated solution. · Early stakeholder meetings and user interviews focused on defining project goals and ensuring alignment with the needs of both users and the business.
· The final product integrates a straightforward payment system that simplifies the process of settling the bill. Once expenses are split, users can effortlessly transfer their share of the payment to the main organiser via a secure payment provider. · This feature not only streamlines the payment process but also reduces the risk of errors and misunderstandings among friends. · PATE’s design ensures that users can focus on enjoying their time together, rather than dealing with the complexities of bill splitting. · The app stands out by offering a solution that combines advanced technology with a user-friendly interface, demonstrating my ability to address user needs and deliver a product that enhances the overall dining experience.
